Wrong Reasons???

2 millionaire family Ahujas and Gehlots fight a legal battle to adopt a two-and-a-half month old Shiv, who was found abandoned in a rail compartment at Khandwa railway station.

Why … because both did not have a male child, to be their heir and inherit their fortunes.

Says the lawyer of Ahuja’s “The Ahuja family doesn't have any male child. Even their extended family has all girl children. So if a male child is given, it would be justice to them”

So… an effluent family, can adopt a abandoned child, to groom as their heir … but not make the girls of their own family competent to handle the name and fortunes

Though abandoned/orphaned children should be adopted to bring up a child in family, give it the security, values, education, affection he/she deserves and nurture the child as an individual… but is this one, a valid reason???

What if this abandoned child would have been girl….???

If the abondoned child was a girl, then the family will not go for adoption simple as that! But i feel girls cannot handle such business related pressure...may be i am wrong but very few women 1 out of 100 can really take such pressure. And remember leaders are born and not mentored.May be Ahuja family might have sensed that none of the girls in their family had such leadership qualities and would want to adopt a male child. So there are lot of possibilities...
I feel this example is not supportive enuff of the fact that girls are not being encouraged etc etc...something like the story of KANK. hahhaaahaa!!
You need more strong example to support yourself bud! :-).
Take example of Pepsi Co,India CEO,shez is born leader and she is doing good in business.
May be Ahujas are scared of giving control of millions of rupees to a girl child, because she might end up spending on shopping rather than doubling money in business....
:-).

Dear Anonymous,

capabilities are cultivated based on education and conditioning by society and family..
if a child..boy or girl... is conditioned that he/she cant walk...and no one do any hand holding and support... the child will never b able to walk
